I just wanted to thank you for your professionalism and persistence – without both, I would have a criminal record. I have promised my Mum that I will never eat Cointreau cake again (or at least until I am finally off my P plates). Should I send the recipe to the Magistrate? – lol.

P platers have a zero alcohol limit. Defences are available in certain circumstances, but more often than not, a person charged with Novice Range (0 up to but less than 0-02) has had a drink and miscalculated how long it takes for the alcohol to be eliminated from the body.
